How to Reset Your Password

How to Reset Your Password

1. From protocall.dialogheatlh.com, select Forgot Password?

2. Enter the email address associated with your Dialog Health account, and select Submit Address

3. You should receive an email containing a link to create a new password. If you do not see the email, make sure to double-check your spam/junk folder. You must maintain an active email address with Dialog Health to reset your password.

4. Navigate to the link received to set up a new password. Your new password must follow our Password Policy:
    1. Password must contain at least one uppercase Letter
    2. Password must have at least one digit and one special character
    3. Password may not have the same character repeated more than twice consecutively
    4. Password may not be the same as the last used Password
    5. Password length must be at least 8 characters

Other considerations...

  1. If the system asks you to "Please enter a valid email address" then your email has not been set up with an account. Contact your Dialog Health Administrator and they can submit a request to Dialog Health Support for a new user account.
  2. When logged in, you can update your password at any time by clicking on your username hyperlink in the top right corner.
  3. If an incorrect password is entered 5 times in a row, your account will be locked and you must contact your Dialog Health Administrator to unlock your account.

Dialog Health Prohibits Shared User Accounts

Sharing user accounts violates Dialog Health's terms and conditions. The HIPAA Security Rule requires covered entities and business associates to:
  1. Implement a "Unique User Identification" standard for systems holding electronic protected health information (EPHI)
  2. Provide an audit trail for all users, so that it can be determined later, if necessary, who logged in and accessed and/or changed EPHI (electronic protected health information). If more than one person can share a login, it cannot be determined later who may have accessed EPHI. Unique User Identification is a "required" specification under the Access Control standard and should be employed for all information assets that create, receive, transmit, and maintain ePHI.
Even without the HIPAA Security Rule, there are other reasons that sharing is not the best policy:
  1. It makes it difficult for our team to troubleshoot problems when multiple people are using the same account
  2. It creates confusion for you in that you must remember which staff are tied to which User Account (and, thus, when you need to update/change/delete accounts)
