Manage Activity Status

Manage Activity Status

Managing a subscriber's Activity Status allows your care team to handle patient engagement with greater sensitivity for those who have passed away. Continue reading to discover more about Activity Status.

Active vs. Inactive

Subscribers are considered to maintain an Active status when...
  1. They are currently opted-in for mobile engagement.
  2. They are considered eligible to be opted-in for messaging.
  3. They have opted-out of receiving text messages from your team.

When a user marks a subscriber Inactive, that subscriber is silently opted-out. They will not be eligible for future messages, bulk opt-ins, or opt-in campaigns. In the event this person was silently opted-out by mistake, they must be manually opted back in or resubscribe using a group join keyword.

Managing Activity Status allows end-users to discreetly opt-out patients who may have passed away, ensuring a smoother experience. This process removes the patient from receiving further engagement without sending an opt-out notification.

How do you mark a person as Inactive?

1) Search for the person that you'd like to mark as Inactive
2) Select their First/Last name to open the Patient History
3) Select the Pencil Icon to open the demographic information

4) Under Activity Status, change status to Inactive

5) Select Update in the bottom right hand corner upon completion
6) Your team can confirm that the person was silently opted out by reviewing the messaging history. A time stamp will display in the history with a confirmation that the person was silently opted out.
